The Recording of the Complete Scriabin Sonatas
by Vladimir Stoupel ist released!
The recording of the complete Skriabin Sonatas is the culmination of a ten-year endeavor. I performed the entire Cycle for the first time in concert at the "Piano en Valois" Festival (France) in October 1996. They were recorded in the large Sendesaal at the WDR Köln (Germany) during the first week of August, 2005. These were wonderful, very intense and eventful five days. I would like to thank the recording producer, Stephan Hahn, the sound engineer, Brigitte Angerhausen, and the entire team at WDR Köln for their outstanding work, support and patience! I am very happy that this recording is being made publicly available through the
AUDITE label.

Several months have passed since the release of the CD "The Life of the Machines", which was released (together with the CD "Elegie for the Jewish Villages") on the EDA label. This CD documents a program that I performed at the Konzerthaus Berlin in 2003. Frank Harders-Wuthenow and Tilman Kannegießer, the producers from EDA, were in attendance at this performance and suggested that we record these seldom performed works by Nancarrow, Roslavets, Mossolow, Szpilman und Antheil. The recording took place in 2005 at the studio of Deutschlandradio. The Press, "Fono Forum" and "Piano News", have published extremely positive reviews. "Fono Forum" awarded the recording five stars, while "Piano News" praised the choice of repertoire and the highest quality of playing evident in the recording.
